Dr.Kelly Palm is a northern California native. She grew up in
Woodland California and is the daughter of a pediatrician and a
nurse. Medicine was always discussed at the dinner table. She
knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was in second
grade and informed her mother she would attend UC Davis so
she could come home for lunch. Kelly Palm received her BS in
biology from UC Davis in 1986 and her DVM from UC Davis in
1990. Because of her special interest in the Human Animal Bond,
during veterinary school she co-founded The Pet Loss Support
Hotline. She currently resides in the country with her husband
Jim, and two sons Derek and David. The four Palms share their
five acres with countless four legged furry friends. Her hobbies
include gardening, photography, baseball, and teaching science
to elementary school children. She has always felt that
veterinary medicine is “family practice.”

Dr. Dennis Jurberg received his DVM degree from UC Davis in
1972. After graduating, he worked in a small animal clinic in
Hayward for a year before relocating to Fairfield and purchasing
Cal West Pet Hospital in 1976. Since its acquisition, 32 years ago,
Dr Jurberg has expanded the practice to now employ 3 part time
veterinarians. Dr. Jurberg’s special interests include surgery,
dermatology and internal medicine. He is an avid sports fan and
enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, history and wildlife.

Hospital. She graduated from the U.C.Davis School of Veterinary
Medicine in 1997 and has worked at Cal West since 1999. Dr.
Bock has always had a fondness for dogs and cats and decided
at the age of nine to become a veterinarian. She works at Cal
West on Thursdays and Fridays. She has a special interest in
veterinary dermatology and internal medicine, although she
enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending
time with her husband, two children and three cats. Her hobbies
include volunteering at her children's school, tennis, bicycling and
hiking.
